Last night we cheered when the president asked Congress to tackle unfair pay and pass the Paycheck Fairness Act.
Today we remind Congress to get it done.
Next week, we mark the fourth anniversary of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, a key milestone in women’s journey to achieve equal pay.
But as we look behind us and cheer, we also need to look forward and act. And the next step in our march toward progress is the Paycheck Fairness Act.

President Obama asked me who I think is preventing democracy in the Middle East. I told him, “The husbands.” The husband does not what his wife to have equal rights. Without equal rights, it will be impossible to save Egypt, because if women are not educated, the children are not educated.
